La Mairie du Petit-Paris
The Little Paris is “a separate town”
claiming its independence and having a “free town” status like Montmartre in Paris .

The site is run by a support-committee, an Association law 2001 ”The Little Paris Friends” which has its own town council, board of directors and series of debates.

Gerard Brion was elected mayor of The Little Paris
for his second mandate with over 78percent of the votes at the last March 2008 municipal elections.

Bertrand Delanoë is a little like his “colleague” because the problems here are the same as in Big Paris. With a more effective car-traffic and pollution reduction, a true policy for a better environment!

The Little Paris has remained an ecological model since its creation in 1983. The Mayor in the Little Paris is also in charge of the presidency of the “Little Paris Friends”so as to go on with the economic development of the small capital.
The extension project of the Little Paris:
The Little Paris has gone through an estate crisis for over 10 years, enclosed and remote from the big road axes as it is... the problem will be ended in a near future, thanks to a new implantation on a large 3 hectare park.

The project is going on near Rochefort in Charente-Maritime in a more tourist attractive area. The aim is to multiply by ten the building surface of the capital; With the building of a new larger Little Louvre Museum with an auditorium (video/show) and a Paris Casino... [ see project ]
